Education: Prior to receiving my combined MSW/Ph.D in Social Welfare from UCLA, I received a B.A. in Psychology from UNLV. View my CV.

Formal Occupation: Currently, I am a Senior Policy analyst at Upturn where I work on a range of policy issues at the intersection of social welfare and technology use including: law enforcement use of data + technology, data + technology use in “child welfare” systems, and the use of data + technology in housing.

Organizing Work and Collective Research: As someone simultaneously rooted in academia and activism, prioritizing community also remains a critical part of my work. I work closely with community-based organizations in Los Angeles County and Washington DC. I am a member of the Cops Off Campus Coalition, Let’s Get Free LA Coalition, and Defund MPD Coalition. Additionally, I have partnered with Stop LAPD Spying Coalition and Los Angeles Community Action Network/Downtown Women’s Action Coalition to conduct research on the use of surveillance in Skid Row.
